Oil paint on canvas is my medium.  I enjoy the strength and versatility of oil paint and the texture of canvas. I do occasionally paint from photographs, however it is my preference to paint from real life.  I then take some photographs to finish the painting in the studio, ideally returning to the scene to complete the painting to ensure the colour and life has been maintained.
