Gilly Marklew
Gilly Marklew is a watercolour artist living in Lundy Green near Hempnall, where she has her own teaching studio.
Gilly loves exploring all aspects of watercolour and passing this knowledge on to her students, but her own particular interests lay in the effects of light on a given subject. She is a representational painter but likes to find subjects with an ethereal quality.
Gilly graduated with a BA honours degree in graphic design in 1981 and has been working professionally as an artist ever since, formerly as an illustrator and museum designer, and latterly as an artist and watercolour tutor.
