EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES STATEMENT

Black Dog Arts believes that all individuals have the right to an equal opportunity to participate in all aspects of society without discrimination on the grounds of age, faith or none, disability, gender, race or sexual orientation and will do all in its power to promote a climate of equality throughout all of its activities, striving to become a model of best practice.

POLICY

Black Dog Arts will endeavour to ensure that everyone involved with the organisation (Management Committee, members, paid personnel etc) is familiar with this equal opportunities statement and strategy, and is encouraged to put it into practice and is aware of the need to challenge harassment or discrimination if or when it is encountered.

Failure to follow this Equal Opportunities Policy will be considered Gross Misconduct and anyone found guilty of this will have their membership terminated.

  • By ensuring that personnel are selected on the basis of suitability and that         no paid personnel are excluded because of age, disability, gender, race or         sexual orientation:
  • By avoiding the presentation of any work that is racist or sexist or would                 contravene the equal opportunities statement in any other way

Breach by any paid personnel of the Equal Opportunities Policy will be considered a breach of contract.

Events, Activities, Projects etc
