Although mostly self-taught, I have also attended many courses, in various media, and I am passionate about painting water and boats, also landscapes and skies, and where better to live and be inspired than East Anglia, with its beautiful coastline, harbours, landscapes and fantastic big open skies? I enjoy visiting the many small harbours around our coast to paint “en plein aire” and also to gather photographic references for use in the studio.
For several years, I have been teaching art classes and running workshops from my studio in Weybread. I really love the teaching side and enjoy putting a previous teaching qualification to good use. I qualified many years ago as an Occupational Therapist and I am also able to use those skills to assist students, both able bodied and disabled, achieve their goals.
I have had paintings in many exhibitions and have works in private collections in the UK, Ireland, USA, Australia, and South Africa. I have also undertaken several commissions.
